Tim Horton

A native of England, Tim moved to the United States in 1979. Went to Ridgefield High School in Connecticut where he won two State Championships as a player.   He graduated from Bentley College in 1990 and has lived in Massachusetts ever since.

He is a serial Soccer Entrepreneur and his unique combination of also working in the High Tech corporate world for 20 years, successfully helping companies build their internet infrastructures, has prepared him well for creating Soccer Interactive.com.  Tim worked for Soccer Extreme for two years, introducing their innovative methods of Soccer Education to Massachusetts.  He was also a founding partner in the Soccer Tour Company, Global Team Travel and he founded Sports Training Interactive, Inc in 2006, the parent company of Soccer Interactive.com.

Tim has been involved in the amateur soccer scene for over 15 years as a player, coach and league administrator.  Since 2003 he has focused on coaching youth, travel and club teams as well as business development for the different soccer businesses.

He is a dynamic and passionate coach that loves to share his excitement and love for the “Beautiful Game” with youth players and coaches.

He is a nationally and internationally accredited coach, with the following credentials:

  • NSCAA National Diploma
  • USSF D License
  • FA Level One Psychology for Soccer

Tim’s personal coaching philosophy:

  • The game is the best teacher
  • Educate young players about the beautiful game and make sure they have fun
  • Use soccer to help develop player’s confidence, sportsmanship and teamwork skills on the field and more importantly in life
  • Utilize the unique tools that the Internet offers to provide easy access to coaching and player development material
